CGS Ltd has provided Uphole interpretation services for several clients in North Africa and China
This service includes :

• Setting up the recording parameters in the field
• Reading the OYO McSeis format (and other field formats) and translating these into SEGY format
• Correcting depth and timing errors from poor acquisition.
• Providing a report on XT (First Break) data using a graph and evaluating Velocity and depth of intermediate layers either as a check on the field operation or as a substitute to poor interpretation.
• Collating all uphole information from an area (often vintage data) with reinterpretation if necessary, and providing a table of consistent values that can be used by the processing contractor for a coherent long wave length static approach
• Using VSP techniques to estimate the depths of layers deeper than TD (Not available if the source is in the hole)
• Calibrating Uphole VSP data to reflection seismic stacks.
