Peter Bell has been processing since 1975 (albeit then he freely admits he didn’t really know what was going on) however it is 34 years later and he likes to think he is now “dangerous”.
CGS uses VISTA as an in-house processing system (and has done for over 5 years now) because of its flexibility, its constant upgrading, its excellent support system and its ability to travel anywhere on a laptop. (Very handy for checking data in Beijing, Cairo, Delhi, Hassi, Accra and even in Gatwick)
A lot of the QC work is done either on site, on seismic field crews, or in contractors offices where data and processes are checked based on Power point files put together by the contractor – or by reading the data in SEGY or SEGD and analysing the data there and then.
CGS has handled seismic processing projects from all over the world (These are mentioned in the CV – see About Us)
