Geo-Texture Technologies of Houston Texas provides the ONLY commercially available service using the volume curvature algorithms developed by the team at University of Houston under Kurt Marfurt, who was a co-inventor of Coherence Technology when he was at AMOCO. Geo-Texture currently delivers an updated version of the AMOCO coherence, called the Edge algorithm, as well as volumes of the 5 principal components of curvature.

This new technology is available within Shell, BP and Saudi Aramco, as they have invested in this technology with the U of H.

Geo-Texture are the only commercial company able to use this technology in their dedicated processing centre in Houston, and thence deliver these vital interpretation products to the wider geophysical community. The technology is particularly useful at illuminating fractures, channels and sub-seismic features within 3D data volumes.

We will come to your offices – explain how the technology works, accept a DVD containing your data and return 2-3 weeks later with a report, and a hard drive containing the multiple volume outputs.
