CGS Ltd has provided Uphole interpretation services for several clients in Algeria.
CGS first went to Algeria in 1998 to provide on-crew processing services to the MLN/EME 3D seismic survey. Since that time, CGS has participated in at least 9 other 3D surveys.
This has included;
- 3D design - Understanding Client Interpreters needs and budget
- Acquisition tendering and evaluation
- Contractor selection
- Start up testing - This has proved very useful for several Clients. In one instance, the tests performed on the Vibroseis Sweep Tests reduced the expected/budgeted field effort by 50%. In another instance re-design of the Source array during the testing enhanced the frequency content of the final migrated 2D data by a minimum of 5Hz at reservoir level.
